Antalya is where tennis in Türkiye goes in winter. The coast from Belek to Manavgat holds some of the largest clay-court complexes in Europe, the professional calendar stacks ITF, WTA and Challenger weeks back to back between January and March, and the national federation stages its age-group team championships here in May. If you are flying in for a training block, wintering on the coast or living here permanently, this guide tells you how the professional layer, the resort academies and the amateur club scene fit together, and how to get into a club tournament yourself. The city's first tour-level event was the ATP 250 Antalya Open at Kaya Palazzo in Belek, played on grass from 2017 to 2019 and on hard courts in 2021 before it left the calendar. Since then the focus has moved to clay. The Antalya Challenger, hosted at Megasaray Tennis Academy and the ATİK club, ran as an ATP Challenger for men in 2021 and 2023 and has been a WTA 125 event for women every year since 2024; in 2026 Megasaray staged three consecutive WTA 125 weeks from late February. The ITF World Tennis Tour added back-to-back M25 weeks in January, a W35 and a J60 juniors event in February, and an ITF Masters MT200 in September 2026 at Tennis Club Kastalia in Alanya. In practice this means the big academies' show courts can be occupied by professional draws in winter, which is worth asking about before you book a block of court time.

Clay is the default surface almost everywhere. If you train on hard courts at home, plan a few clay sessions before your first competitive match.

Every event is opened with a 1.0–7.0 star level band and may carry a gender rule and an age range; entries are approved automatically or by the organiser. Match scores feed your ELO rating, so the games you play in January decide which bands you qualify for in spring.
Antalya is the natural home of age-group tennis in Türkiye. The federation's 2026 Masters inter-club championship covered every category from 30+ to 65+, and ITF Masters events appear regularly on the local calendar (the April 2026 MT400 was withdrawn by the ITF because of regional developments, so check dates rather than assume). At club level, the age-range rule on QReserve lets a club open a draw restricted to, say, players over 40 or over 50. When such a tournament is published, the age range is shown on the card and entries outside it are declined by the organiser.
